The Race is ON!

The highly anticipated first race of the 36th America’s Cup Match will start at 4pm this Wednesday 10th March.  

Under COVID-19 Alert level 2 or 1, the race schedule will remain as planned with 2 races per day. Wednesday 10th, Friday 12th, Saturday 13th, Sunday 14th, Monday 15th March and each day after that, if needed. The two teams will race until either the Defender, Emirates Team New Zealand or the Challenger, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli reaches 7 wins.  

Under Level 2, the bars, cafés and restaurants and other retail outlets within the America's Cup Race Village and Wynyard Quarter will be open, and will operate within Ministry of Health guidelines. However live racing on the public big screens, and other activations are unable to operate until Level 1.

Plan ahead, head out and support our local businesses and GO ETNZ.

Public transport under Level 2  

 

Auckland is now at Level 2.    

Public transport will continue to operate with strict health and safety requirements in place. As per Government advice, you must wear a face covering if you are over 12 years old and you should scan in using the QR code posters.  HOP cards only, no cash.  Read full details from AT below.

AC36 racing March 2021  

 

With the final racing starting just days away make sure you know what is planned for Wynyard Quarter.  There will be road closures and areas of restricted access. Some on street parking won't be available. You may wish to consider changing your start time at work so you can soak up the vibe after a hard day in the office. Check out the public transport options.
