From the Pastor

A Need...

Yesterday Catherine Brewer, one of our members and our church financial officer, got word that her house was on fire. She rushed home to find out, and while no one was hurt, her house had some structural damage from a fire starting in the garage. While the living area was not affected by fire, the smoke damage permeated the entire house. Until repairs are made, she has no electricity and no permit to live there. She has had some immediate help from her neighbors and close by church members. Right now, they need temporary housing for Catherine, her two children, and her father. If you have a lead on such, please let us know. They estimated two to three months, and we certainly want to pray for the family to have their home back by the end of summer.

This Week...

We begin a worship series this Sunday called "Summer in the Psalms." This week is Psalm 100, and Walker Maginnis will be opening the Word for us. I recommend reading ahead, it's a great passage, one of the all time favorites in the Psalms!

JUNE

  • June 7 - Escape Room @ 1pm

  • June 21 - @ Summer Camp; No activities

  • June 28 - Downtown Prayer Walk - 4:00-5:30 - Meet in the youth room for an introduction to prayer walking. We’ll break up into small groups and set out into different areas to pray. Sundays Mornings

9:15 - 10:30 am

Mark’s Gospel is stunningly beautiful and detailed. Mark wrote to ask and answer one primary question. Who is Jesus? And the resounding answer over and over is that He is the Son of God. The first eight chapters of this Gospel are filled with stories of Jesus displaying amazing power and divine compassion. The Son of God is both able and willing. Join us on Sundays as we work our way verse-by-verse through this extended introduction to the Son of God.
