Welcome to the Adult Training & Development Network (ATDN) Newsletter! This newsletter will be emailed the first Thursday of every month, and will include various information not only specific to ATDN, but, the Adult Education field as a whole. Please be sure to share this will all your teachers and staff.

ATDN PD offerings will be announced monthly both in the newsletter, as well as in a separate flyer. Please note that there has been a delay in the state contract, which has resulted in ATDN pushing the majority of the PD offerings to either late fall, winter, or spring of the current fiscal year!

Dalia is the English Learner Support Services Coordinator at EdAdvance. She has over 15 years of experience teaching elementary, high school, and post-secondary English Learners in both Canada and the United States. She holds a B.A. in Psychology, B.Ed. in Elementary Education, and an M.Sc. in TESOL. Dalia is passionate about equity and providing English Learners with accessible and equitable educational opportunities. 

Lysa has been in the Special Education field for the past 20 years as a teacher, department chair, and most recently as the Transition Coordinator at Trumbull High School. She is familiar with the school to career opportunities for students with disabilities as they transition into the adult world. Lysa is not a stranger to the world of Adult Education; early in her career, she was an instructor for Adult Basic Education at the Waterbury Continuing Adult Education program. Lysa is thrilled to take on this new role and looks forward to meeting and working with this talented group of educators.

Digital ATDN...

Tech Support is available to Adult Education providers to assist in registering for courses in ProTraxx and accessing them in Canvas. Tech Support in additional areas specific to technology is also available. The appointment schedule will be updated weekly.

What's Happening...

☑️ Please be patient with us as we continue to navigate the new ProTraxx and Canvas migration. We are learning about new features every day! We will continue to update the Course Registration, Access & Certificate Instructions as we implement new features and clarify any steps!

 

☑️ Thank you to everyone for your cooperation in "cleaning up" the master training and certificate document. This is not only helpful to ATDN but is beneficial to you and your agency. Please continue to communicate about new employees so we can be sure they have successfully completed all appropriate training.
