Can You Help YCL Find Waldo? Where's Waldo? He's in the Library, of course! The famous wandering book character in the striped shirt and black-rimmed specs is hiding at the Main Library throughout the Children's Department. Stop by the Children's Reference desk this month to pick up a clue sheet, find the six hidden Waldos, and get a small prize! |

Family Storytime in the Park: Join us at Miracle Park on Monday, Oct. 11, from 4–4:30 p.m. for an outdoor, family-friendly storytime filled with stories, songs, and more! Come early to check out books from the Bookmobile. No registration is required and children of all ages are welcome. YCL Enters "Scarecrow Crawl" Check out YCL's entry in the Fort Mill 7th Annual Scarecrow Crawl! The Scarecrow Crawl runs Oct. 4–31 and features a variety of unique scarecrows created by individuals, schools, businesses, organizations, churches, and more. Judges will vote on their favorites, and the public can share its choices on the Town of Fort Mill Facebook page from Oct. 8–29. Winners will be announced Oct. 30. |

Friends Books on Main: Come shop a huge selection of books, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks for all ages at this book store, operated by the Friends of the York County Library. Friends Books on Main is open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at 206 East Main Street in Old Town Rock Hill. |
