Thank you for your continued support by consigning, shopping, and recommending Déjà vu! We truly appreciate your help!
It has been another great year here at Déjà vu! December is here and this is our final month of the year. We are looking forward to a great month and love that we have so many wonderful consignor’s just like you to bringing your wonderful items in to consign. With the coming of a new year there always seems to be changes that need to take place to keep our small business running as efficiently as we can. With that being said as of Jan 1st, 2024 we will no longer be marking items on a 120-day consignment period. Instead, we are switching to a 60-day consignment period. We will still have markdowns but they will come sooner. We have needed to make this change for several years but for me change is hard and I love it when everything runs smooth. The biggest reason we have decided to move to a 60-consignment period is floor space. This should turn the merchandise over sooner and allow us to use the floor space we have in a more efficient way. As a consigner this change should result in a faster pay out as your items should be gone or donated sooner and you will no longer be waiting for a check 120 days out. As of now all of our other policies will remain the same. We will continue to keep the items that are on the current 120-day system until they phase out of the system so, rest assured if your item is sold you will still receive your 40%. I realize “Growing Pains” can be hard but it is also a good thing as we are a small business that is still here serving you in the best way we can.
We are currently taking 2 medium boxes of items a day per consigner. Please remember to have your medium box marked with your first and last name in legible hand writing. Do not use your first initial as there are to many people out there that have your last name and have your same 1st initial. Please make sure your items are clean, in working condition and folded nicely so they are ready to go out as we mark them. If they are not, we will be donating them on. As unfortunate as this sounds if items are not in sellable condition people are not interested in buying them and our floor space is too valuable to put out items that do not sell.
If you have furniture, please get it pre-approved by sending us an email, messaging us through Facebook or bring in a picture on your phone. We are currently taking Winter Clothing for ladies, babies and children but that does end on Dec 30th. We are also taking Valentines Day, St Patties Day, Easter and Fourth of July. Please remember the sooner you bring items in the better chance they have to sell.
With the Holidays fast approaching we would love to sell you some wine! We are getting a lot of positive feedback on the Promise Land Wine. If you like wine please stop by and see what we have open and have a taste!
We are done taking Halloween, Fall, Thanksgiving and Christmas for this year. If you have any of these seasonal items please wait until January for fall, Halloween or Thanksgiving to bring them in or February for Christmas.
Déjà Vu’s Christmas Village is Up! & so are our polar bears!
Have you met our newest Déjà vu staff? Dawn is now working a couple of days for us during the holidays. Stop by Wednesday and Friday’s after 2pm and meet her!
