Happy New Year from us to you. Even though 2021 ended uniquely in our neighborhood, we enter the new year with hope because of the
Savior that was born in Bethlehem. Many of the primary, middle, and high school students in our programs had their entire school class out of school due to Covid right before the Christmas break. Several of our families also had covid. So once again our WYN staff demonstrated the art of flexibility which sadly they are becoming very good at.
Planned activities flexed into trying to put everything planned in a box. The December 2021 Family tool kit included trinkets to inspire our families’ Christmas celebrations! Stockings filled with goodies like reindeer antlers, Christmas tree shades, and colorful lights to help with their festivities. Families also received an edible ginger bread art project of either houses, mini village or ugly sweaters to build, decorate and eat together! The story of Jesus’ Birth and a personal gift was the icing on the kit! We pray that our children and their families know the love of GOD through these kits!
As we planned and prepared for this holiday season, we also recognized that living in a pandemic era, has changed the way we would normally celebrate. Staying connected with our community has been the key ingredient in engaging through the word of GOD.
As 2022 starts, even with our ever-changing pandemic, because of your help we are privileged to be able to bring good tidings to our neighborhood.
“Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11
