MENTAL HEALTH MONTH: #TOOLS2THRIVE While one in five people will experience a mental illness during their lifetime, everyone faces challenges in life that can impact their mental health. The current global pandemic has caused a lot of changes in people’s day-to-day lives, and now more than ever it’s important to stay on top of your mental health, and check on others. We want to provide some encouragement and tips for you during this time, but we also want to remind you that it’s okay to reach out for help from others, friends and professionals. |

May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, and Northeast Missouri Health Council wants to challenge you to try a new workout or sport in celebration! Physical activity provides long-term health benefits for everyone and being active helps you to burn calories that you store from eating throughout the day. While we typically think of being physically active as a rigid workout plan, the truth is that it can be any activity you do throughout the day, such as vacuuming, walking the dog, or gardening. |
