How to support WJZP without spending money

But if you do have a little scratch, you can donate online or ask about our sponsorship and underwriting opportunities for your business, nonprofit or event.

How to support WJZP without spending money

1. Talk about us!

Put WJZP on at work, switch your mama's presets or hijack the stereo at a party. Let people know what they're listening to and why you love it.

2. Create an account on our app

1,000+ people have downloaded the WJZP app so far. Thank you! Easily create a free account by March 31, and we will enter you to win a WJZP t-shirt.

3. Donate your car

Those public radio ads about donating the value of your junker apply to WJZP. Click here to start the process.

4. Volunteer

Street team, accounting, voice over and production. If you have a set of skills to offer Maine's only Black-owned radio station, email info@wjzp.org to get an assignment.

Celebrating Women's History Month

All month, you can catch "Profiles in Women's History," produced by Gina Carter-Simmers, pictured right. Carter-Simmers was a longtime reporter and general manager of WJSU in Mississippi before succumbing to breast cancer in 2018. We honor her long career in public broadcasting alongside the dozens of other remarkable African-American women she profiled in her special series.
