A message from MakerSphere President John Bauer:

Thank you!

We live in an amazing place where each of us brings our unique creativity to help weave the fabric of our community. I am fortunate to be part of an amazing group of talented people willing to share their skills with our children and friends. Despite Covid, we were able to adjust programming to meet the needs of our community and to allow everyone to continue to flex their creative muscles!

Can I count on you to support MakerSphere in the coming year?

We have been able to accomplish so much! Here are just some of the activities we have been able to offer to meet the creative needs of our community of artists and makers:

  • Partnered with Waterbury Rotary for a community art project to decorate Rusty Parker Park gazebo
  • 48 adults gained new skills in woodworking, sewing and fly-tying in workshops.
  • We served over 120 K-9 students with virtual and in-person after-school art classes.
  • We partnered with Crossett Brook Middle School PTO to host activities for 85 7th and 8th graders with 395 activities in a 4-week special project.
  • One of our summer camps won Best Youth Float at the NQID parade.

Exciting plans for the coming year include reactivating the Foundry Flex Space, creating a wood shop, and adding another work space for the rapidly increasing variety of classes and workshops for all ages.

With your help, we can continue to work toward our mission and can serve an even greater number of community members. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution online by clicking here, or mail a check, payable to ‘MakerSphere’, PO Box 114, Waterbury VT 05676.

Thank you for being a part of the best community in Vermont and for your continued support!

Sincerely,
John Bauer President
