Governor Wolf's Stay at Home Order Here's What it Means for You |
Effective yesterday (March 23), Governor Wolf issued a "stay at home" order, effective through April 6. Here's what we can do during this time. |
Perform tasks essential to maintain your own health and safety and that of family/household members and pets, such as obtaining medicine/medical supplies, visiting a health care professional, or obtaining work-from-home supplies. I recommend postponing nonessential doctors' visits. Get necessary services or supplies for yourself or others and deliver them, such as food and household/cleaning products. This includes volunteer efforts to distribute meals and life-sustaining services to those in need. Engage in outdoor activity, such as walking, hiking or running as long as you maintain social distance (6'). Go to work to provide essential products and services for a life-sustaining business. Travel: To perform any of the above tasks. To care for elderly, minors, dependents, persons with disabilities, or other vulnerable people. To or from educational institutions to receive materials for distance learning, meals, and related services. To return to your primary residence (for example, college students). As required by law enforcement or court order.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT POINTS: |
Homeless individuals are not subject to this policy. International students, foster youth, and any other students who would otherwise experience displacement or homelessness as a result of campus closures may remain in campus housing. Restaurants can still provide curbside take-out and delivery of food. Customers are not permitted inside restaurants, and establishments must adhere to the Borough's current Restaurant Take-Out Food Procedures.
