Dear Donors,

As the holiday season is with us, we at Junior Tennis Fund Sacramento (JTFS) would like to thank you for all that you have done to make the season of giving last all year for the many youth tennis players in our community that we have been able to support financially from your donations.

In 2021 JTFS has granted over $11,480 to many public high school tennis programs in our region, and we look forward to continuing this support. We have granted most of the money we raised this year.  If you are interested in helping us continue our efforts, now is the time to consider giving again to Junior Tennis Fund Sacramento.  If you have not donated in the past, we welcome you to our donor base.

On behalf of Junior Tennis Fund Sacramento, we want to thank you for your donations and, because of your generosity, we have touched the lives of hundreds of youth tennis players in our community. Our focus is on under-served youth whose families would not be able to afford tennis lessons and fees at private clubs.

Learning the sport of tennis gives young players a chance to develop life skills, community

awareness, as well as learn the rules and techniques of a sport that they can play for a lifetime. With basic tennis skills high school aged players gain a positive peer group experience by participating on a school team and are motivated to be productive and, ultimately, graduate from high school.

In our first six years JTFS has granted over $34,320 to community youth tennis programs. The grantees have used the funds to provide scholarships to new players, provide equipment for their programs and continue to fund clinics at their facilities.

Thank you for your support,

Here's what some of our grant recipients have to say about JTFS:

"Pioneer High School is excited to have the $1000 dollar grant to be used for equipment
and supplies.  The  school supplies tennis with very little money so we have to do a lot
of fundraising to provide for balls, nets, and other equipment. Many of our players  are
coming out to play tennis for the first time in high school. We have  to provide them with
a racquet. We have a number of students who cannot afford their own  equipment so
this grant is such an important boost to our  program.  We have roughly 25 boys and 25
girls each season. Because of COVID this year we are having a short Coed season.
We are very thankful to JTFS for their grant. "
- Ted Ferguson, Tennis Coach Pioneer High School, Woodland

"This donation from Junior Tennis Fund Sacramento will have a big impact on the
Cordova High School Tennis program. I will be able to use these funds to purchase
tennis teaching/training aids that will help players progress at a quicker rate. This will
also allow me to do effective station training for players to help them improve their
conditioning and their strokes. Since I am the only coach, this will help players to use
their time efficiently and be productive. I am very excited and grateful to receive this
grant from Junior Tennis Fund Sacramento."
- Jeff Pieczynski, Cordova High School Tennis Coach
