Spring 2021

The Winter 2021 Program Is in Progress

The winter program started with an orientation on Saturday, February 13th. It was an opportunity for everyone to meet each other, find out what would be happening during class, what was expected of the participants, and just say hello.

On February 20th, artist and instructor Chloe Anne Kelly began her five Saturday morning sessions guiding the participants through a series of collage projects with different themes.

Participants were provided with a kit of materials to help with the collaging projects, but had to find materials to work with beyond what was provided, and of course, they had to bring their creativity to each project. The video above gives a small glimpse into what some of the participants have shared.

The last three class sessions will be devoted to ShopTalk taking place in-person (limited participation) and virtually. Those sessions will be led by Donnell Williams from Sunshine Gospel Ministries with the assistance of a few mentors to start and facilitate the conversations.

The program will culminate in a Final Wrap-Up Celebration on April 10th. We hope to have more to share in the summer newsletter, and please visit our blog to see additional pictures from the classes to date.

Planning just got under way for the Summer Program!
