Bonus Valentines To Share With Those You Like A Lot

Someone's in the mood for love...That's A-Moray!  Happy Valentine's Day.

We are optimistically planning July's trip to Utila!

Despite the pandemic, travel is beginning to open up. With appropriate care and precautions, divers are getting wet again. SeaSmart's Directors held an information session for students, parents & educators on February 11th (thanks to those who joined us!) to kick off SeaSmart's plans for July, when we will all be ready to get out and travel - and learn in person with local conservationists, biologists and dive professionals. (If you are already SCUBA certified, we have diving for you, too!). Families are welcome, based on availability.

A $250 deposit will hold your spot (there are 12 spots per week - for either the July 10th week or the July 17th week - due to the custom nature of the trip), which is fully refundable before May 1st. Should you wish to take advantage of early full payment or group discounts, they are refundable until this date as well.

Applications for our Diversity Scholarship have started coming in!

We already have some impressive students seeking a chance to receive SeaSmart's scholarship, offered to address the underrepresentation of women and minorities in marine science studies. We will award funding to support their participation in the SeaSmart Summer 2021 program.  We're looking for female minority middle and high school students who are a member of a minority group(s). (Including but not limited to: Black, Latina, Native American, LGBTQ+.) We are excited to hear your unique story! Here's the link to additional information and the application, which is due by 3/1 for consideration for Summer 2021:

This is your periodic reminder that baby octopuses sometimes ride on top of jellyfish and it’s adorable. You're welcome.
