Dear friends,
After an amazing trip to England to perform in the chamber music series Concerts at Cratfield in August, we’ve had a busy start to the season performing in Dordrecht, Poederoijen, Vlieland, Kimswerd, Voorburg and Leidschendam!
Thank you so much to all the wonderful people who organise Concerts at Cratfield, we had a fantastic time! A special thank you to Clare and Rachel who were not only our hosts for the weekend but also went above and beyond, driving a long distance in a heatwave to pick us up from the ferry at Harwich as we’d arrived in the middle of a train strike, not complaining when we rehearsed for a very large portion of the day and providing delicious food, wine, and great company! Not forgetting their four gorgeous dogs!
The concert itself took place on one of the hottest days of the Summer but that didn’t stop the audience from coming and being very enthusiastic! Hopefully not only due to the incredible cakes on offer in the interval ;)
At the end of August we had the privilege of having an article in the newspaper Den Haag Centraal dedicated to us. We hadn’t expected to have a full page photo on the cover of the arts supplement but love the chosen photo from our photo shoot with Sarah Wijzenbeek last year! For those who can’t read the Dutch, it’s about our two last CDs, in particular the latest one, Celebrating Women!, and a little about our history and how we work together. Thank you to Eric Korsten for the great write up!
We loved having the opportunity to perform our Czech Romance programme with pianist Ksenia Kouzmenko twice in September and we’re excited that our collaboration which started a year ago has proved so successful and enjoyable. We look forward to many more concerts together!
And we had lots of fun going on a mini tour to Kimswerd and the island of Vlieland with oboist Pauline Oostenrijk. It's always a huge pleasure to play together!
Here are our upcoming concerts:
