I had so much fun with some middle school girls recently, introducing them to Bible Quilting with a little "Prayers and Promises" session. I'm always amazed at the creativity exuded by this age group! |

May 2022 God's Power is so evident in the vibrant flowers around us ... and the persistent comfort of His Word. | | |

The Grandmother's Flower Garden that Alice designed for us a while back is a great one to do during this season of flowers. I just happened to do one on the topic of POWER a couple years ago, so thought I'd share it again. The link below includes some other examples of how to use this beautiful template. |

Grandmother's Flower Garden Template | Biblequiltjournal.comI love how our Bible Quilting community is blossoming like a sweet flower garden, growing in the Lord together! God has blessed us each with different gifts and interests that are as distinctive as a wildflower garden full of bright colors and vibrant textures. |

Floral Wreath Patchwork | Biblequiltjournal.comThis floral wreath template was designed by Mary Jo for us to personalize in our BQ journals. It's a lovely page to color and lends itself to a wide variety of topics. The download includes two sizes of the template to accomodate whichever BQ journal size you have (7 x 10 or 8.5 x 11). |

Got ideas for the Power template? Here's a look at my process for the Apostle's Creed. |

Alice created hers with the topic "Strong Women." I was joking with her that we could do a series of the "Wonder Women of the Bible!" 💥⚡️ |

How are you navigating all the busy fullness of May? The other day I was chatting with the elementary students at the end of my driveway, which is their bus stop. Their eyes were bright with excitement as they told me what grade they'd be in next year, all a-twitter with the countdown of their last days. Oh, the lure of summer!! |

Enjoy all the end-of-school-year activities, my friends. I'm off to celebrate my son's graduation from college. (How did 4 years go by SO fast??) |
|
|
Twenty-one years ago I was pregnant with this boy and endured the sweltering August heat to receive my doctoral degree from the same college he's now graduating from. What a sweet legacy the Lord has provided for this girl who didn't come from a stable family background or any tradition of higher education! I'm grateful for how this young man's path is developing and for the power of God to change family cycles. Sic 'em, Bears! |

Enjoy YOUR graduates and their bright futures. Hope to see some of you at our next Zoom to hear all about it! ❤️ Dianna #biblequiltwithlove |

I Know the Plans for You | Biblequiltjournal.com"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 Some people use this beloved scripture as a "life verse." Many of us may have it as artwork or embroidered on pillows in our homes. |
