NEWS FROM MRS. TOBERGTE

Dear St. Patrick Families,

We have had another successful week of teaching and learning here at St. Patrick! And, to celebrate, we have planned a fun Beach Blanket Bingo recess party for all grade levels! Our fabulous PTO has sponsored this event, and we hope it brings some excitement and enthusiasm to everyone's day. Additionally, you may notice that our weekly newsletter has a new look! This new format will allow you to access with ease all of the important information that we share about our school from week to week. We also archive all of our school newsletters by date on our “Quicklinks” page of our school website, so if you ever miss an edition you can quickly and easily find it here: https://www.saintpatrickschool.org/quicklinks

We appreciate all of your prayers for continued health and safety of our school community, and we thank you for your continued support of our staff! We are blessed by our amazing teachers and assistants who continue to go above and beyond to provide a warm and nurturing classroom environment to our students during this interesting time we are in. Enjoy your weekend!

Blessings,

Amy M. Tobergte

Principal

NEWS FROM THE SCHOOL

BEACH BLANKET BINGO

This Friday our fabulous PTO will be sponsoring a Beach Blanket Bingo Recess Party for each grade level. Mrs. Tobergte will lead group bingo, there will be music, small prizes for winners, and all students will be treated to an ice cream treat! Please send your child with a beach towel!

As per our school policy, if your child has any documented food allergy or sensitivity on file with our school nurse (peanut, food dye, lactose intolerance, etc) they will not be given an ice cream. This is because we cannot guarantee the handling and ingredients of the ice cream, and we do not want any child to become ill as a result. If your child falls into this category, please send them to school with a special food treat to enjoy during recess this Friday.

We are looking forward to a fun Beach Blanket Bingo Party, and we thank our PTO for their creativity!

SCHOOL MASS SCHEDULE

Please remember to check the calendar and school Mass schedule each week.

Students must wear their Mass uniforms on the Fridays that their class goes to Mass.

Boys must wear long pants and girls must wear the jumper (K-3) or kilt (4-5).

As of now Mass is limited to only our students and staff in that we are asking parents not to attend Mass. We only allow 3 students per pew, and they are spaced out for social distancing. Students are seated with their class, not with prayer partners. The church is sanitized with the aerosolized sanitizing machine before and after Mass, which effectively kills virus and bacteria within 5 minutes of spraying. Masks are optional since the students are socially distanced, but if a parent asks a teacher for their child to wear their mask, we are enforcing that. Only children receiving communion are out of their seats, and they are socially distanced on a kneeler 2 at a time. Father and Deacon sanitize their hands in between each Communion offering, and students are able to take the Host by mouth or by hand.

CARPOOL

Please remember that cars may use both Waverly and Pierce Streets, alternating into carpool in the morning and afternoon. Please have your child ready with their masks on and backpacks in hand to help us speed up drop off in the morning. We appreciate your patience as we work to efficiently move our cars through carpool.

Buchanan Street is one way in the morning. All cars must turn right out of our parking lot.
