When the sun comes out it's beautiful out there & some of us may need a bit of a polish-up - well I know I do...so today Balsamic Moon has some offerings to help you out.
Here is an update on the ongoing saga of using chilli in a product formulation. What an ordeal. This has been the most difficult product I have ever made for Balsamic Moon & today is its launch on the website. Introducing to you - PAINKILLER SALVE. (Named after the song by Judas Preist.)
The saga of making this product included burning the chilli oil infusion - the house wreaked for days. Then, when I finally had the salve right, I used it with my folks - going on about how you must wash your hands after using it...then I rubbed it into my eye! My Dad laughed, while my Mum told me off for touching my eyes after using it. It was okay in the end though, Mum came to the rescue with a cold cloth which made everything better again. So please - WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER USE & DO NOT RUB INTO YOUR EYES!

PAINKILLER SALVE
Introducing a Pain Relief Salve for sore muscles & aches
made with Cayenne Chilli infused oil.
Feel the power of this warming salve to take the bite out of your sore muscles. Cayenne is said to have a pain-decreasing effect when applied topically. The clove essential oil is supposed to have numbing properties, whilst the Lavender has anti-inflammatory properties & the Peppermint has a counteracting effect to the cayenne creating a somewhat cooling effect.
I was apprehensive about adding this product to the Balsamic Moon range. I put it to the test & I found some relief. It warmed up the strained muscles & got me going again. But still, I needed public opinion so I took it to the market for people to try - & they came back & brought some...so maybe this can help you or someone you know.
Balsamic Moons' Shaving Butter power lies in its ability to minimise ingrown hairs, give you a close shave & moisturise - in one product.
But there's a trick - usually, we shave in the shower - but with Balsamic Moons' Shaving Butter you shave AFTER showering. Once you're all dried off, apply a small amount of Shaving Butter onto the skin - a little goes a long way. Then let that razor glide over your skin - wiping the razor off every few strokes. Whatever you have shaved will be smooth & moisturised.

The salts act as an exfoliator, while the Bergamot has antibacterial & anti-inflammatory properties. Frankincense is generally great for your skin & boosts your feeling of well-being.
You can soak your feet first or use Balsamic Moons' Foot Scrub after showering. Scoop a little scrub onto your hands & massage into your foot - especially those rough bits! Then give it a rinse off.
Glass jars can be washed and reused as tea light candle holders, storage, & organization. The amber jars from Balsamic Moon products are handy repurposed as spice jars, or Bathroom drawer storage pods - for bobby pins & so on. I like to keep one in the laundry for odd buttons that pop off clothes
... you can also get fancy & use them as Plant Propagation Stations.

them a new lease of life.
HOW TO REMOVE THE STUBBORN RESIDUE FROM JARS
You will need:
A large Bowl - or the sink - if it's free.
Oil - any kind, found in the kitchen
Baking Soda
In a bowl add some oil (eg. Canola - the cheapest I guess - have you seen the price of oil these days!) To the oil add some baking soda to make a paste rub it all over the jar wait 20 minutes then scrub. Rinse it with cold water & the stubborn sticker residue should come right off.
MOON PHASE
Waxing Crescent coming into the First Quarter

You will see a slither of the moon in the sky, as the sun begins to move from behind the moon creating a crescent shape.
The Waxing Crescent phase is often referred to as the rebuilding phase. Once the moon has re-emerged from its New Moon state it has a new energy. This is the perfect time to set new intentions for the month ahead & go forth to achieve your goals.
LUNAR GARDENING
The waxing crescent is associated with creativity & new beginnings, making it a perfect time for planting. The waxing crescent is a short-lived phase of the lunar cycle - so get cracking & take advantage of this phase of the moon!
Plant all summer flowers requiring heat for germination i.e. Sunflowers, zinnias, cosmos, marigolds & dahlias. How exciting!
Sow those seeds for the late Autumn & Summer crops. Sow Tomatoes under cover. Sow Beans, Peas, Pumpkin & Sweet Corn. Good take to sow seeds for salads & leafy greens.
Harden off the seedlings that you started inside from the last New Moon. Once seedlings have developed two sets of leaves start taking them outside for a few hours a day to start to harden off.
