Documentation Studio Turkiye

Attended Early Childhood and Primary Years Conference

During the month of March, Documentation Studio Türkiye had the privilege of attending a captivating presentation on documentation at Işıkkent IB school in İzmir, led by esteemed educators from Reggio Children- Paola Strozzi and Annalisa Rainieri. They illuminated the audience with insights into the Reggio Emilia approach, emphasizing the significance of valuing the child's image and the multitude of languages children express themselves through. Through vivid examples and collaborative endeavors, they showcased the depth and richness of documentation practices. This experience provided a valuable opportunity for Documentation Studio to review and reflect on their current documentation methods, offering inspiration and guidance as they prepare for the upcoming Making Learning Visible exhibition in May.

Carla Rinaldi on DOCUMENTATION

For those intrigued by Carla Rinaldi's profound contributions to early childhood education, her remarkable journey speaks volumes. Having served as a pedagogist at Reggio Emilia Preschools and Infant-toddler Centers Direction since 1971, Rinaldi's influence has been transformative. She has held pivotal roles, including scientific consultant of Reggio Children s.r.l. and President from 2007 to 2016. In September 2011, she assumed the presidency of Reggio Children – Loris Malaguzzi Centre Foundation, further solidifying her commitment to fostering excellence in education. Additionally, Rinaldi has been a distinguished Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia since 2003. To gain deeper insights into Rinaldi's perspective, we recommend exploring 'In Dialogue with Reggio Emilia: Listening, Researching and Learning'. This comprehensive compilation encapsulates Rinaldi's seminal works, thoughtfully organized thematically and accompanied by insightful introductions. The book culminates in an illuminating interview by series editors Peter Moss and Gunilla Dahlberg, offering invaluable reflections on Reggio's evolution and future prospects.
