88th TX Legislature News Summary, 17 February 2023

Summary: This week's updates include the following: child care for school choice, House Public Education Committee Chair, public education funding formula, transgender college athlete ban, teachers pension ESG divestment, denying bail for violent or sexual offenses, water supply project for rural and small cities, budget briefing.

Summary: This month's Planning and Zoning Meeting includes the following: zoning change for Standard Services Restaurant; prelim plat for Bankhead Commons Addition; prelim plat for Willow Park Water Reclamation Area (Wastewater Treatment Plant); final plat for Country Hollow residential housing [adjacent to Hunters Glen].

Go east, young man: The Ranch Development East of Willow Park

Summary: With the interest and concern in east Parker County development, now is a good time to remind Willow Park residents of the development of six ranches in-between Willow Park and Fort Worth - Walsh Ranch, Morningstar Ranch, Veale Ranch, and The Seven Ranches Master Plan, which includes the division of the Dean, Boswell, and Beggs Ranches into seven development areas.
