China Travels, Part 1: Hangzhou, Wenzhou and Shanghai

In 2018 and 2019 world traveler/photographer Ranjan Mukherjee, PhD made two trips to China, traveling by plane, train and car. While visiting major cities and smaller towns, the scientist presented talks and interacted extensively with students, professors, restaurant owners and regular citizens of China. Mukherjee experienced their ancient culture, sampled excellent cuisine and visited centuries-old historic sites and jaw-dropping modern marvels. In Part 1 of China Travels, Ranjan Mukherjee will present his views of life in this vast land that is home to 1.4 billion people, along with his own images that will give you the feeling of “being there”.
