Engelhardt Music Group is excited to release Bob Minner and Ron Block's single "Ginseng Sullivan".
The brand new single from one of Nashville's highest regarded acoustic guitar men, Bob Minner, releases to radio today.
"Ginseng Sullivan," written by Norman Blake, was recorded by Minner with his long time friend Ron Block, of the Union Station band, and represents the lead single from the forthcoming album that is a tribute to the works of Norman Blake. The full album, "From Sulphur Springs to Rising Fawn : The Songs of Norman Blake" is expected from Engelhardt Music Group on March 11, 2022.
Some may recognize Bob as the acoustic guitar player for country music superstar and actor, Tim McGraw. Others as a seasoned flatpick guitarist and accomplished bluegrass songwriter, having had his works recorded by such artists as Volume Five, Dailey & Vincent, Sideline, Blue Highway, Ronnie Bowman and more.
Raised in the bluegrass heavy region of Missouri, Minner started out young with a love for music and a desire to play and learn all he could. And by young, we mean his first guitar at age two. But it wasn't until he was twelve that his mind was opened to the musical stylings of the great Norman Blake.
In his exclusive world premiere with The Bluegrass Situation, Bob Minner said,
“As musicians, we’re instinctively drawn to songs and the people who write them. That’s been my musical life with Norman Blake. His classic ‘Ginseng Sullivan’ is a true gem in both Blake’s legacy and the bluegrass, Americana, and folk genres. Recording this fresh interpretation with my old friend Ron Block was such a great experience. And the friendship with Norman and Nancy that has stemmed from this project is truly one of the most cherished experiences in my life. I hope you all enjoy what we’ve done.”
