Postcard from the Jungle

No, seriously.  I'm literally in the jungle.

Hi, my friend!
This newsletter edition aims to bring you a smile, a vicarious 'whoa!' and a moment of connection amid the strangeness of another, not so 'new' new-normal holiday season.

But first, some news:

A couple of weeks ago after selling the majority of my belongings, I packed up and put into storage the remainder of my known life in Nashville, Tennessee.  I then hopped a one-way jet plane to Costa Rica.  My neighbors are howler monkeys, great green macaws, sloths, and plethora other creatures; exotic lizards, amphibians, and yes, insects of previously unfathomable-to-me size and quantity.  Every part of life here is extremely vivid and utterly wild, at 9º North of the Equator, where the rainforest meets the Caribbean Sea.  And here I sit, my gringa ass sticking to every saturated surface.  Indefinitely.

I know what you're thinking, my friend:  "Costa Rica?!  Really?!  What the hell, Greener?"

I know.

I'm here because after a year of pounding the virtual pavement to get a 'real' job (for the first time in my life) this was the only door that the universe opened to me.  My plan was to settle down, build some stability, and try to learn how to be a 'normal' person while I quietly build my client-based astrology practice.  But my 'plans' had other plans for me.  A friend made a ridiculous suggestion to me that I absolutely did not want to follow:  "You can always come down to Costa Rica and visit me!" she said.  Since that was the only 'yes' that showed up on my yellow brick road, I reluctantly accepted.

I don't know where life is taking me ( <who does? >), but I'm game for the ride.  Hopefully, I won't have to stay here in the *too-damn-vivid jungle for too much longer.

Fortunately, my work as an astrologer travels with me where ever I have an internet connection!  I remain committed to use my rigorous astrological training and my own intensive self-development journey for the past decade+ to help my clients deepen their own self-knowing, self-acceptance, and sense of purpose and meaning in their lives.

The Current Astro-Weather...

Happy Full Moon!

It's the last full moon of the year.  The Sun in Sagittarius and the Moon on the opposite side of the ecliptic in Gemini, officially seals up this year's Eclipse season.  This particular lunation shines a spotlight on optimism, curiosity, openness, and willingness - especially in the realms of our communication, knowledge, wisdom and beliefs.  What particular area of life this is taking effect for you depends on your specific birth chart.

Ok.  Let's get real for a moment.  2020 and 2021 have been... pretty rough, right?  My community of fellow astrologer nerds have all been in consensus predicting as much.  I'm very pleased to see that the global astrology of 2022 looks significantly less awful.  The astrology specific to the United States, however, is intensified throughout 2022.  So, I might be camped out south of the border for a while yet.  But I have my compass set to other locales that are situated well above sea level, and on drier terrain.

I'll keep you posted!

So, my friend that pretty much sums it up.  How about you?  How will you be spending the last days of 2021?  What are you looking forward to in 2022?  Hit "reply" and catch me up on your life.  Send me a pic 'postcard' from where ever you are!

Wishing you a safe, healthy, abundant, blessed, super-amazing end to your year and a joyful time of connection during whatever holiday you may or may not celebrate with your blood relatives or with your chosen soul family.  And if super-amazing is too much pressure, I wish you a merely good enough one.

Adios, namaste, and 'pura vida' from the jungle.

Love,
.mg

Ps, * This phrase is a reference from the book, Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates written by Tom Robbins.  The character 'Switters' is sent on a mission to "too goddamn vivid South America," which similarly describes the un-enthused resignation with which I have accepted my own directive from the universe.
