New Artwork in the Gallery & Seasonal Workshops Now Open To Book A big welcome to Aime, Amelia and Claire who have joined The Team here at EJaRt Creative. We have had lots of deliveries from our Artists, old and new, so come along and see some of the beautiful new Art Work on show. Becky Frost has supplied us with some beautiful gift wrap packs from her range, Danielle from Polly's Textiles has just delivered a fresh range of her hand-printed textile pieces, we have new work from Helen Maxfield and have also introduced some beautiful wooden sculptures by Roy Davey, and that is just a few of the very talented local artists that we display. The Half Term Holiday is fast approaching and we have many slots still available for Craft Sessions. A good way to keep the kids amused or an ideal opportunity for some family fun. Sad loss of a dear gallery friend......... It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of Ronan Kavanagh, the designer-maker behind Avalon Jewellery at EJaRt Creative. Ronan co-founded Avalon Jewellery with his wife Honor, creating unique and beautiful pieces from gemstones, glass and precious metals. Ronan was a self-taught jeweller who succeeded in creating incredible pieces through talent, commitment, and ingenuity. He drew creative ideas from Suffolk history and culture, the natural world, mathematical shapes, and many other sources. As an original thinker, he could always see how to incorporate unusual sources, come up with a new design or innovative method, and create something truly special. |

Ronan had a constant drive for improvement, and a can-do spirit that’s reflected in the quality and detail of the finished pieces. He was committed to craftsmanship and always wanted the quality of making to match the beauty of the design.We hope his story inspires any creator who has these traits to start, or to keep, making wonderful and interesting things.Ronan was pleased and proud to be a part of EJaRt Creative, to support Suffolk, and to share success with other independent designer-makers.Although nothing can lessen the loss, we take solace in wearing and sharing Ronan’s jewellery, and in knowing that his unique ideas and gifts still live in it, as they do with us and into the future. Our thoughts are with Honor, Sabrina and his family at this sad time. |
