MORGAN MEDALLION HORSE SHOW |
VIVA LAS VEGAS! The Miller Show team was in Las Vegas last month at the Morgan Medallion Classic Charity Horse Show. As typical, the Miller Team went BIG with 32 horses, 23 riders/drivers in 121 classes and a whole lot of fun. In addition to the horse show, the team was also spotted gambling, bowling and at the Las Vegas Invitational PBR (Professional Bull Riding). YEE HAW! Now back to the show results. The classes were big and competition stiff, but the Miller team was up for the challenge. The show kicked off Thursday evening, July 22nd, and while we didn’t have an Elvis sighting, we did see many top performances including the Miller Show team with two Championships, six Reserve Champions, nine blue ribbons and 17 red ribbons. Some highlights are below: |

So happy to see this team taking a ride down victory lane in the Open Walk/Trot Saddle Seat Pleasure 12 and Under Championship as well as the Open Walk/Trot Saddle Seat Equitation Championship. She also rounded out her ribbons with a blue in the deep class of 7 in the Open Walk/Trot Any Age Rider. Congratulations Paige! |

AMHA Youth of the Year Program Paige Torok, Dasha Zerboni and Amanda White |
Morgan horses have long been defined by their ability to suit people with varying interests. Similarly, AMHA believes that Morgan youths should also be versatile.
Youth of the Year contests are designed to recognize top achievers. Youth of the Year contests consist of four parts: a written exam, an oral presentation, a judging contest and a horsemanship pattern. Each section of the contest is worth approximately 250 points. Youth who win the Senior division or who score over 800 points in the Senior division at local contests qualify to compete for AMHA Youth of the Year at the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show in Oklahoma City. The winner of this prestigious title receives a unique prize package customized by the winner valued at $3,500. The reserve winner receives a unique prize package customized by the reserve winner valued at $1,500. Local and regional contests are open to youth of all ages, but only those aged 14 years and older can qualify to compete in Oklahoma. The Miller girls did a great job with the AMHA Youth of the Year Contest with Paige Torok, Dasha Zerboni and Amanda White all qualifying for their age group. |

THANK YOU from the Miller’s – Ann and Frank wanted to personally thank all the families that stayed and helped to break down on Sunday afternoon after the show. It made the Miller team job easier to have all the helping hands! Much appreciated! In addition, thank you to Tayna Torok for taking care of lunch every day. Not only was the food delicious, it was set out on time for the trainers and her work ahead of time made it much less stressful for all the Show Families! |
