FINALS TIME!!

UMPIRES RECOGNISED AT AFLT PRESENTATIONS

Deklen Emerson, Duncan Barlagen, Tylor Winnett, Allan Harding and Hayden Dowdell were nominated for the Junior Umpire of the year at the AFLT's Junior Presentation night. 

 

At the Senior Presentation Night Jarrod Guppy, Kimberley Harding, Darren Abercrombie, Andrew Crook and Brad Egan were nominated.

 

Big well done for getting nominated great achievement.  Huge congratulations go to Tylor Winnett and Andrew Crook for getting the awards.

 

 

 KUDOS TO ED

 

Ed has reached many milestones in his umpiring career, but he has also reached another one outside of umpiring.  During August Ed reached 200 donations of blood/plasma.  An admirable thing to do good on you and well done Ed !!

This Thursday at compulsory night we will take our yearly team photo.  Please bring along your association polo as well as your training gear!!

FROM THE COMMITTEE/RUMs

 

  • Award recipients for 2018 have been selected - to find out who, come along the the presentation night!
  • Round 16-20 pays should be done by the end of this week.
  • Alcohol in the change rooms - this is not to occur.  Please remain in the appropriate licensed areas.  Also if you are going to the bar, change out of your match attire.
  • Next year we will have sets of flags set aside for those that do adhoc goal appointments so that they don't have to borrow off others or purchase them if goal umpiring is not their primary discipline
  • Final Compulsory Night - see KO's corner for details
  • One suggestion for another social activity.  We will look into this for later in the year or maybe early next year.

September! Wow it has arrived. What a great year we’ve had.

 

Thank you to all who attended our mini golf get together. It was a fun night. Great to just have a night of fun! The local season might be coming to an end, but things are still a happening here on the social scene. I am really looking forward to our association presentation night. Please remember to let Pieta know if your coming. As I have said previously, it is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of not only our individual umpiring development but to cheer on the milestones of our peers.

Our next Bunnings Sausage Sizzle fundraising event is on Sunday the 28th October

I will have the volunteer roster on the Bar from this Monday’s training. Please make a portion of that day available. We do understand that family time is precious. But if you can spare a 2hr timeslot, it will help set the budget up nicely for season 2019.

Our last Compulsory Night for the year:

 

The Menu will be Lasagna, Mac & Cheese with Salad and Garlic Bread.  Dessert will be Pavlova with Icecream. 

 

As usual, Family and Sponsors are more than welcome to pop along. Any nonmembers it is a $2 contribution.

The Far Kup will close as of Grand Final day so get any Grand Final doozies into me ASAP after Saturday so they can be voted on.

 

Training Attendance will close off at our last training session for 2018 this Thursday.

 

The Team Effort Votes will close off on Grand Final day.

 

No of games tallies will go right up Grand Final Day.
