The ADKAR model is tried and true for organizations looking for efficient and sustained change. It also is useful for change on an individual level as well. The acronym stands for: Awareness Desire Knowledge Ability Reinforcement

Coaching Questions & Activity: Reflect or journal on the following questions to build some awareness about making changes in your life: What is the area of life that if you made some positive changes would create the most impact? Write in detail about your vision as if you were writing a journal entry from the future? Where are you? Who are you with? How are you celebrating? What were the steps and milestones that brought you to ultimate success? What are the goals and/or milestones you will need to hit to make your vision a reality? Prioritize your stated goals, if there are more than one, and set start and end dates for them. Write down the action steps, support structures, and practices that will aid you in achieving your goals. What resources will you use to ensure success? What cues will you use to prompt your new habits? How will you reward and acknowledge yourself for each milestone? How will you celebrate when you reach your goal?
