| | Summer Events You can still get a lot of summer in before the crispness of Fall beckons. We have Polo on Sundays at 4pm where you can bring your own picnic and cheer on the players. There are three Concerts on the Green coming up this month, with a variety of music and food trucks to enjoy. And there are still openings in some summer art classes to sign up for and enjoy before the kids go back to school. The Newark Catholic Cross Country event will be held at the end of this month and don't forget to vote August 2nd (if you live in the township our Field House is your voting spot!) Check out the link below for details on public events, or see the Art Class section further below. | | |

| | Can you help get us the rest of the way on the Barn project? The Restoration, Renovation, and Re-purposing of the Bryn Du Barn is gearing up! The preliminary designs and architectural renderings can be seen by clicking on the "Learn More" button below. But we still need your help! We are fortunate to be able to provide you with an opportunity to double the impact of your gift by acting now. Local resident Jeanetta Pyle has generously offered to match all individual donations dollar for dollar up to a total of $25,000 through the end of this year. We cannot thank her enough. Gifts can be made online at BrynDu.com through our donate button below, or you may print out a pledge form (also below) and mail us a check or your credit card information. However you choose to give, please know that we are a 501(c)(3) organization per the IRS and your donation is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Thank You! | | |

| | Feeling creative? Then maybe you need an art class! Does the smell of new crayons remind you of school days and put you in the mood to create, but you want a more grown up art form? This September we have several Teen and Adult classes for folks to sign up for that may just be the thing. There is still summer fun of course for the kiddos. We have two summer classes for them that still have openings in August - Canvas Kids, and an End of Summer Watercolor Workshop so don't delay if you need some last minute fun for the kiddos. Of course there will be new classes for them in September as well. So if you are looking for fun and education or just time spent meeting new friends, sign up for a class and get creating! | | |

| | Thank You to Artist-In-Residence Kong Ho We want to thank our summer Artist-In-Residence, Kong Ho, for sharing his amazing work with us over the past eight weeks. His open houses were fun for those who stopped in to see him at his craft. His Exhibition was open to the public during the last Tuesday Concert on the Green, available to be seen by folks attending several art classes and was open for a special trip for a group of folks from Middleton. | | All Roads lead to.... Many local folks may know that Newark-Granville Road was once called Centerville Street. But did you know that Jones Road was once Burkham Road? It was named after Mr. Francis Burkham who owned what is now the Bryn Du estate in the 1880's and 1890's. And prior to Mr. Burkham's time at Bryn Du the road was actually called Griffin Road, named after revolutionary war hero Colonel Griffin who lived up further Jones road near Ty Tawel. | | |
