SPRING UPDATE   2 0 2 0

Dear friends and donors:

Welcome to another spring at Seeds of Life. We are faced with many challenges in this unusual time. In spite of the health and safety issues brought on by this coronavirus it will be a busy planting season for our Canadian farmers. With their hard work and dedication we always know that we will have enough nutritious food in Canada. We must not take their work for granted.

We must also remember that our overseas partners face many health risks as they struggle to provide aid to people who are not blessed with a generous supply of food as we are. Now, more than ever, they need our support.

Seeds of Life will be growing soybeans on our farm at Alberton Ontario this year. The crop will be planted in May or early June and harvested in late September or October. Following harvest we will plant winter wheat for harvest in the summer of 2021.

The harvest of both these crops will be sold and the proceeds will be sent (after expenses) to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. This money, together with matching funds from the Government of Canada, will be used to support the food aid and development  programs of our overseas partners.

We know that this is a difficult time for many people financially in the time of this pandemic, but please contribute if you are able to help us grow and harvest these crops. Go to the HOW CAN YOU HELP tab on the home page of this website www.seeds-of-life.ca for details on how to donate.

Working together, we can change the lives of people who don't have the resources to feed themselves.

P.S.  Thank you for all of your support! We will make the most of your donation, ensuring that lives are changed. God bless!
