Our word for the year is BUILD and we have formed committees to support and build our organization. Lula’s Garden Club

Description : ZEN partners with local assisted living facilities to start or maintain a garden at the adopted facility. We also provide a garden related indoor activity once a month.

What To Expect :

• Create and participate in monthly activity 

• Help maintain Prosperity Creek gardens (April-November; Every Wednesday at 630)

• Serve as a Hostess during activities

• Set Up and Breakdown during activities 

• Fundraising

• Help with Senior Buddy Program

Mobile Market and Popup Pantry

Description : ZEN will sell fresh produce as a vendor at a business in the community. Consumers can purchase a bag of fruits and vegetables at a low cost. Community members will also have an opportunity to fill one bag with nonperishable food items at no cost.

What To Expect :

• Finding Areas in Need Of Fresh Produce

• Organize Items For Market (Harvesting/Washing/Sorting/Weighing and Recording)

• Set Up/Delivering Donated Items

• Collection of Non-Perishable Items

• Prepare Holiday Baskets

Bank with ZEN

Description : ZEN will donate fresh fruits and vegetables from the community garden to local food banks.

What To Expect :

• Obtain Relationship with local food banks

• Organize Items For Market (Harvesting/Washing/Sorting/Weighing and Recording)

• Set Up/Delivering Donated Items

• Collection of Non-Perishable Items

• Prepare Holiday Baskets

One Night of ZEN

Description : Our annual social event to raise funds for ZEN's programs. ZEN will host a ticketed event and all proceeds will support the organizations programs.

What To Expect :

Auction/Raffle Committee

Description

The main focus of this committee is to work on obtaining items throughout the course of the year to be used as auction/raffle items to generate income for ZEN.

What To Expect:

• Monthly zoom to check in with other committee members

• Visit businesses to obtain item(s) 

• Get all details about the item (when it has to be used by, what's included or not included) and manager’s number if needed.

Description

Nutrition 101 is our initiative to bring educational classes and organized cooking demos to educate our community and empower them to choose nutritious food choices to improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
