I'm not really a color-er. (it's boring) So I like lots of scribbley space for details and textures and patterns.

Visit my hidden page of secret treasure to get this not-boring coloring sheet I made!

Secret treasure, please.

I've been a kinetic person since childhood. I think moving helps me think better?

I feel like myself when I'm playing a sport!! And my most recently aquired sport is... volleyball!

I started playing last summer and had no idea what I was doing, mostly flailing about. There was just something about volleyball...

Okay - actually I started playing because I had watched all 5 seasons of Haikyuu!! twice and I my BONES NEEDED to play volleyball.

I started playing tennis because of the anime Prince of Tennis. Does this happen to other people??

I'm starting to complete the final illustrations for Big Bold Beautiful Me (I'm about 50% done!), and now my creative brain is sketching out my second book...

COOLER THAN LEMONADE!!

It's a book by Harshita Jerath about big-idea-haver Eva who starts a lemonade stand. That goes okay, but y'know what's way cooler than lemonade?? Kulfi.

It's creamy. It's frozen. It's Indian ice cream!!

I didn't know about Kulfi before making this book. Harshita gave great descriptions, and even sent me pictures of some Kulfi stands in Northern India.

She shares a Kulfi recipe in the back of the book, so I had to make some!

Everyone I shared Kulfi with LOVED it! Super smooth and sweet.

I went all in and made like 6 different flavors...

Yeah, yeah, yeah - John Klassen

Blahbitty blah blah - master visual storyteller

blarg blah blee blooo incredible textures - ugh look... Just read his books. They really are as good as people say.

YES, I'm jealous of his skill & major picture book hype.

But also YES, if I met John Klassen I'd shrivel up into a little pumpkin seed and throw myself into the ocean of "Eeeeeee!"

I'd love to tell simple, hard-hitting stories like Klassen & Barnett someday!!
