Come taste the flavors of Bengal Friday, October 29! Enjoy the experience with friends at the book launch dinner for Nina Mukerjee Furstenau's Green Chili & Other Impostors at Founder's Point, the former Bourgeois home, opening this fall as a new venue for Les Bourgeois Winery at Rocheport. Take in views of the Missouri River from the deck (or the large windows, because, ahem, Missouri in October) as delicious non-vegetarian as well as vegetarian foods from the book are prepared while you watch. Delectable flavors and tasty sips will be plentiful, a book signing, and brief author talk is on offer. Appetizers 5-6 p.m., dinner 6:30 p.m.

Guests are limited to 50, so book your seat early. If weather allows, we will be outside on the deck, but we may move indoors (because , again, Missouri) so vaccinated guests only, please. If area lodging is needed, contact Drew Lemberger at mountneboinn@gmail.com for special offerings.

A cape is just an apron on backwards

COLUMBIA, Missouri-- I am game to believe a cape is just an apron worn backwards. I didn't laugh so much as nod when I read these words online. With so many grim situations in the news, we need our superheroes close to home. (Read more)
