As we know this will be one of the important decades for our planet and its blue heart will need to be healthy with solutions from smart, mobilised humans. |
We are so looking forward to staging a festival of passion for the oceans, where our showcase of solutions for healthy oceans can provide some rays of hope after a gloomy environmental start to the year. |
So get your swimmers on in March and come see some cool science and innovation, enjoy music and art that is ocean inspired and join some actions like a beach clean, blue yoga and a paddle-out for protection. Diary six days of ocean loving and join us on 17th - 22nd of March.

They will deliver us a Science Space at the Festival Hub in Bondi Pavilion Courtyard, providing kid and adult science workshops about oceans. It is free! Come off the beach in your swimmers to join in. This initiative is supported by Inspiring Australia
Fizzics are also helping program an array of science and innovation talks on our Sunshine Stage in the centre of the courtyard. Between music, showcases, and films there will be plenty to learn and meet a scientist to ask them your pressing questions and concerns for our oceans.

AWESOME PARTNERS RETURN Our founding partners have again joined us to bring you the Ocean Lovers Festival, with most activities for free. Volvo have returned as our presenting partner with major partners TOMRA and Waverley Council providing us their passionate support.
True blue supporters like Hotel Ravesis, The Bucket List, Pacific Club, Icebergs and Body Mind Life are getting behind us again to show their love of the oceans and more are coming on board. New supporters include the indefatigable team at Ocean Protect who are helping keep our beaches and harbour clean one storm drain at a time.
Local Member Dave Sharma has put his blue credentials on the line to get us a Federal Environment Grant to bring you the Big Bondi Beach Clean during the festival.

DID YOU KNOW: Volvo Cars has a long and rich history of designing and engineering its cars around people. They have a word in Swedish – Omtanke – that means care and consideration. It’s the lens through which Volvo view the world. Omtanke allows Volvo to solve problems of all shapes and sizes, from safety in cars to electrification, ocean pollution and more. In Sydney Harbour Omtanke is taking practical design and innovation led steps to improve our ocean environment with the Living Sea Wall Tile project. See here what a difference it is making in partnership with the wonderful Sydney Institute of Marine Science team. |
