Can you believe it is almost October? I sure can't. This year has seemed like the longest year ever while also feeling like we just rang in the new year last week. This year is tough, but one thing we know for sure, is we are resilient and we will all survive. It may take a few extra Facetime calls with family, Zoom happy hours, and a collection of "things we never thought we would do or say", but hey we are almost there, right? At DARCA we are experiencing all of this right alongside you, six feet apart that is. We know the challenges you are facing and not only are they challenges we would wish to go away in any other year, this year seems to make it that much worse. We are with you. We know it's hard right now, for a lot of reasons, but we want to say "Thank you!" for standing with us too. You believe in us and our mission and for that we are grateful. We love being able to share this odd life with you. 2020 has given us time to reflect on the things that we are doing. We are asking ourselves what we can do better and how we will navigate the future. We'd love to have your feedback. What can we be doing better? What would you like to see DARCA do? Are we serving you well? You are our "why" and we want to be sure that you and your needs are at the center of it all. Please take some time to fill out a quick survey to help us answer these questions. We'd love to hear what you have to say. Thank you for all you do. We need you. We appreciate you. Amber Weber |

Membership I'd like to extend a "thank you!" to our members for joining DARCA in another year. Many of you have received your membership invoice and have paid. Others are experiencing problems that we are trying hard to resolve. As if 2020 wasn't crazy enough, our accounting software has decided to act up. We are working diligently to solve these issues. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Amber Weber. If you have not paid for your membership, you should have received a reminder email. In the beginning of November, if your invoice is left unpaid, we will inactivate you from our system. |

Sponsorship Are you wondering what your sponsorship will look like with things changing around us? Lucky for you we are asking that question too. We are working on updating our sponsorship benefits and guess what? You have a say! If you have an idea or questions, please let Amber know. Sponsorships aren't meant to be stagnant, so let your creative juices flow and let us know what you'd like to see as a sponsor benefit. |

Colorado's Water Plan and Basin Implementation Plans Update Did you know the Colorado Water Plan and each Basin Implementation Plan is undergoing an update? The Colorado Water Conservation Board is working hard to get a new version of these plans out in the coming months. Do you want to know what that means for you? It means that now is the time to raise your voice. Whether you are in the agricultural, environmental, industrial, municipal, or recreational sectors, your voice and your projects need to be known. DARCA is teaming up with the Arkansas Basin Roundtable and the Colorado Water Conservation Board to ensure our projects make it into the projects list update and that changes to the Water Plan are recognized. If you want DARCA's help with projects or getting dialed into the process, let Amber know so that we can get you looped in. Also, watch out for a DARCA member meeting with CWCB to voice your feedback directly. |

Looking to 2021 Sponsors and members are already beginning to ask about the 2021 conference. While I wish I could see into the future, I simply cannot. It drives me a bit crazy not knowing what this part of the future will hold, and I know you all don't have a crystal ball either, but I'd like to know how you are feeling about the 2021 conference. Will you take this survey for me so that I can get a temperature reading on this and other topics? It's short, I promise. If you'd rather email or call me, I'd love to hear from you! |
