HEY YOU!

We are Johnny Wild and the Delights, the Southeast’s number one ‘50s and ‘60s band. Here’s what we’ve got going on right now:

First off, we need to take a moment to honor the original Rock ’N Roller, the incomparable Little Richard. Without this man, we simply do not exist. Maybe you’d be reading a newsletter from hot new classical string quartet, Johnny Mild and the Dimlights, or possibly a rousing update on our accounting firm’s bridge club. The Horror! Instead, we’re putting together ideas for a proper blazing-hot tribute befitting one of the greatest musicians to ever exist, once we can officially return to the stage.

LONG LIVE THE TRUE KING OF ROCK!

Speaking of keeping the rock alive, we will be streaming LIVE on our YouTube channel tomorrow night (Wednesday 5/13) from 7-9pm. Coming to you direct from Blackburst Entertainment studios in the heart of Orlando’s own Mills/50 district, this will be our first live stream since mid-March’s NO DAYS OFF ORLANDO and we couldn’t be more excited. We have a stellar group of performers with us, including the lovely Wildettes, as well as Florida legends Jeremy Birdsall on bass and Bo Frazer on fiddle/lap steel.

You can find the video by clicking above, searching Youtube for 'Johnny Wild Live,' or visiting us on Facebook!

To tip the band during the concert, visit PAYPAL or VENMO. If you'd like to send a physical check, email us at INFO@JOHNNYWILD.COM for information on how to do so.

If watching us live onscreen isn’t enough for you, we have excellent news: We’ve figured out a way to stage in-person shows while still following social distancing guidelines.

Introducing Johnny Wild’s BACKYARD DRIVE-IN SHOWS!

All we need to make it happen at your place is an outdoor area for the band to set up and room enough for a small group of your friends to drop some chairs or park golf carts at least 6 feet apart.

We staged our first Drive-In style party this past weekend and it was an amazing success, bringing much-needed joy and energy to everyone involved. We’re doing these at prices much lower than usual because we know times are tough for everyone and, honestly, we’re just excited to have an opportunity to get out of the house and work. Click the image above for a look into how we set things up!

Send us an email at INFO@JOHNNYWILD.COM to book your own Drive-In Show!

AND HEY - while we’re over here adapting business models, why not toss in some HOT FRESH MERCH DEALS?? For the remainder of the month, we are dropping prices on Johnny Wild sunglasses, albums and, of course, our amazing new JW Spaceman enamel pins. I don’t have to tell you how cool these things are, just click the image above and see for yourself. Pins and shades are now an irresponsibly low FIVE DOLLARS APIECE. If you buy two CDs, not only do you save a few bucks like you're used to on The Squares, but you also get your choice of a pin or a pair of shades ON THE HOUSE! And just to make things even sweeter, if you buy three CDs, you get your choice of two free pins or sunglasses. Just let us know in the message box which gift you'd like!

People, we’re not ashamed to admit that we’re doing all it takes to keep the ball rolling during these truly bizarro times. We know you’re all doing the same so let’s work together to find ways to keep everybody in good spirits, whether it be in person, online, on your home stereo or through the mail.

In that spirit, we’ve also been hard at work posting some fun video projects in the last month or so and they are being posted on YouTube regularly, care of our resident graphics and web guru, the lovely Miss Holly Dawn. We’ve got our version of Buddy Holly’s “Maybe Baby” featuring new choreography by the Lovely Wildettes, Johnny yodeling his favorite lonesome cowboy ballad in Eddy Arnold’s classic “Cattle Call” and an upcoming full-band quarantine version of “Lollipop” featuring all three Lovely Wildettes that was a crazy amount of fun to make. We’ve also got some goofy little surprises in there too, like time lapse videos of Johnny & the Gals getting themselves ready for a show.

You can find these videos on Youtube at the link above or on Facebook and Instagram!

As always, you can tip the band for any of these performances via PayPal, Venmo or even a suspiciously moist wad of cash via the US Postal Service (we disinfect!). Just send us an email to find out how! Any little bit is greatly appreciated.

Let us know what you'd like to see more of, and make sure to spread the word about THE WILD TIMES!

Thanks again for subscribing to THE WILD TIMES and we look forward to rocking with you all in the very near future!
