Maine STREAM Place, Inc.

Welcome to our fourth newsletter. Fall programs are underway. FIRST Lego League (FLL), Squires of Katahdin, has 10 students, the maximum number allowed. FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), Knights of Katahdin, has nearly double the number of students as last year. We also started a new fiber arts class called "From Sheep to Shawl" at Bean's Corner Baptist Church on Thursday afternoons. Read on for more . . .

The Knights of Katahdin FRC team WON Mainely Spirit, an off-season competition at Messalonskee Middle School! Here is a link to their last two playoff matches. Livermore Falls Advertiser also had an article about this event, linked here.

This program inspires young people to experiment and grow their confidence, critical thinking, and design skills through hands-on learning. FIRST LEGO League was created through an alliance between FIRST® and LEGO® Education. Here is a link to an overview of this year's game: Masterpiece
