Online Launch Party This Wednesday!

In Tequila Midnight, Jessica stays true to the title and basically drinks her weight in Tequila. I've spent about half my life in El Paso, including those formative high school and college years (when I wasn't away at school). I drank my weight in tequila as well, or at least I remember it that way. Perhaps that's why tequila usually isn't my drink of choice. I love a good gin & tonic, a flavorful bourbon, a dry rose or brut champagne, but it has to be a great drink if it's tequila.

At Wednesday's launch party, we'll have engaging conversations and cool giveaways (click the image above to register). Feel free to show up with a cocktail - I'll have one (I'm not sure what yet). If you need help deciding, I've asked my friends for a few tequila recipes.

Cocktail Recipes!

Cara and I attended SMU together and were fast friends. After college, I worked in Juarez and would visit her in Dallas as often as possible. She made a delicious three-ingredient margarita. Just pour the ingredients over ice. To salt the rim, run a lime around the rim to wet, then dip in salt.

Julia is one of my writing buddies. For this recipe, mix the ingredients, pour over ice, and finish with a splash of soda or seltzer. The agave is optional and to taste. Romance readers should check out Julia's novel Fooled Me Once, published under her pen name, Jemma Guinn.

PS - salt the glass before you make the drink!

Reviews Help!

I hope you've had a chance to read Tequila Midnight and are enjoying it. I'd appreciate it if you could leave a review on Amazon, as this will help others find the novel.

The purchase link below is for Amazon, but you can find the paperback or audiobook online at your favorite retailer (and the audiobook is available at libraries).

Thanks for your support.

Happy Travels: Piedmont, California

I just returned from a retreat with fellow writer and book coach Jocelyn Lindsay (you'll meet her at the launch party). We worked so hard on book planning that my brain hurts. Piedmont is full of cute coffee shops, restaurants, and bakeries, and the beautiful houses, gardens, and murals like the one above make it a great spot for wandering.

It's been a great place to collaborate and get work done.
