LauAʻo Education

Become a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in Hawaiʻi

​The training will prepare you for personal self care, family nurturing and community relationship. Which can be the foundation for a future career as a

Licensed Massage Therapist in Hawaiʻi.

LauAʻo offers a unique education which includes the requirements for the

Hawaiʻi state massage exam. The education consists of two (2) parts,

150 hours Theory / Demonstration and 420 hours Apprenticeship.

Lomilomi massage is integrative of Hawaiian culture and Hawaiian lifestyle which prepares you to service yourself, your family and your community.

Significant pressure points restore body mobility

 Learn a basic massage sequence for a beneficial and relaxing Foot Reflexology Massage which focuses on spine, neck and shoulder, digestive and excretory system, 

and lymphatic system 

After the class you will be able to provide a basic treatment for your family and friends.

As of June 2024 the next Hawaiian Massage License renewal,

DCCA requires 12 hours of continuing education (CE).

This workshop can provide a 10 hours CE.

Apprentice Massages

Somatic Experiencing®

Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a new addition to our treatments. SE is a body-oriented therapeutic model which can be applied with body work — for healing stress related disorders and trauma. It is based on a multidisciplinary intersection of physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience and medical biophysics and has been clinically applied for more than four decades. It is the life’s work of Dr. Peter A. Levine.

We offer sessions in Somatic Experiencing, also in combination with

Lomilomi Massage. Please contact us for any further question.
