Dear Pausers,
We welcome 2022 with more of the same Pandemic drama. But this time we are more prepared, resilient, and practiced at doing the hard things we were thrown headfirst into doing when the COVID Pandemic first struck in March 2020.
We have more knowledge now, more experience with this virus. We have learned skills and developed habits that will hopefully make this round of the virus a little bit less devastating. We can use the wisdom we've gained from living through it once to weather the current COVID storm.
The experience of menopause is similar to this COVID v.2022. As we enter the menopausal chapter of life, a chapter that can be riddled with stormy elements for many of us, we come into it with the wisdom of a life lived. While many of us feel unmoored and unprepared for the changes that come with menopause, the truth is that we have the all the skills, courage, and grace we need; we just need to harness it.
We started Put Some Claws in Your Pause five years ago as a way to help ourselves and other women harness our midlife energy. Now in year four of our annual retreat, we are more sure than ever that what we are doing is working!
We believe that by coming together, sharing our stories, and offering each other support, we are setting ourselves up for a menopausitve journey into this next stage of life. The fact that by menopause, we have lived almost half a century or more means that we are well-equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and wisdom to navigate menopause, and everything else in our lives, with courage and grace.
The 2022 Put Some Claws in Your Pause Retreat will be held in November. You can reserve your spot now or contact us with questions--launchyourpause@gmail.com. On February 6th, we'll host a Seward Park walk/chat with past and future "Pausers." See below for information on the retreat and the walk.
As always, please reach out to share any thoughts or ideas you have about making this menopause journey an easier and more joyful experience for yourself and other women.
Warmly,
Laura & Kate
