RESTORATION AND PRESERVATION

After months of work on the slate roof and Bay Port limestone and Lake Superior red sandstone exterior masonry of the historic Hoyt Public Library in Downtown Saginaw, the doors are reopening to the public this week. Extensive work has been done both inside and outside to improve this Saginaw gem! Work will resume in the spring when weather permits. Take time this winter to stop, see the progress and pick up a good book!

Historic Tax Credit Earned!

On December 14th the National Parks Services found the recent renovations done at the former Saginaw News Building, now home to the SVRC Marketplace to be in line with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and approved the project for the 20% federal historic tax credit, which is estimated to be worth roughly $5 million. Congratulations to SVRC! The team at WTA is proud to be a part of this project.
