WE SELL ONLINE

...of course!

Dear customers and friends in the e-commerce world, the world is picking up speed again and I hope you are re-charged and look forward to productive workdays.

We are going into 3-4 busy months where we will participate in many events, see them all in our event calendar.

During the past week, we launched our own webshop. I think we are a classic BtB example, not really considered to start selling online. But things are changing and we think the e-commerce industry itself is ready to buy online.

Buying a Market scan to get input on a business case, or a Sitecheck to improve the conversion rate, is the easy way to get input from native e-commerce specialists. If you consider a new market or need input or help with an underperforming existing market, you can order both in our webshop.

This months mail includes input for brands selling directly to end-consumers, information about the Dutch market and a mini-case from our highly successful client, Evofilm.

Do it with a small team!

Chances are, that you are a representative of a brand selling online!

As a producer or brand owner, selling directly to end-users is becoming a natural part of the strategy. At MakesYouLocal we work with brands like Sephora, Masai and Matsmart helping them localise the shopping experience and taking care of the daily customer service.

We often hear, that brands have a goal of selling between 15% and 20% of the products directly to end-users. This requires quite a support organisation. Leaving the localisation of your webshop and the customer support to MakesYouLocal, keeps your team agile and able to focus on the strategy and implementing new initiatives. This gives the best results and keeps costs in control. Read more or contact us here.

We have been reading up on the Netherlands

Trip to Amsterdam with the Danish e-commerce foundation, FDIH, later this month.

We look very much forward to go to the Netherlands. It is a relevant market to consider for many Nordic webshops. The Dutch are not that different from the Nordic consumers, the market is quite big from a Nordic perspective and the logistics are doable from a warehouse in the Nordics. See this Q1/2019 infographic for the Netherlands.

If you are able to read Danish you could look through the e-export guide covering the Dutch market, MakesYouLocal prepared for the Danish e-commerce organisation, FDIH. Check it out here.

You can also listen to the recent Swedish podcast episode about the Dutch market from MakesYouLocal & Friends: 'Kickstart your e-business in the Netherlands'.

Peter is busy. Busy with the things important to meet his goals!

The Swedish company Evofilm, owned by Peter Höjman, outsourced the Swedish customer service to MakesYouLocal, in order to give himself and his team time to prepare for international expansion. This allows Evofilm to grow, with impressive numbers, in the Swedish market, while he at the same time prepares for launch in Denmark and Norway during the fall of 2019.

There are of course advantages from doing customer service internally, but you will not lose the insights or understanding of the customers. We see it as one of our most important tasks, to convey the things we learn, to our clients. We pass on our learnings in the ongoing dialogue with the webshops and through a monthly report.
