NYC Rent Guidelines Board Votes to

Increase Rent 3.25%

The Rent Guidelines Board recently voted and approved two rate hikes: A 3.25 percent increase on one-year leases, and a 5 percent increase for 2-year leases. This recent passing is the largest rent hike New Yorkers have seen in nearly a decade. P.A.'L.A.N.T.E. will continue to advocate and help residents in the fight for preserving affordable housing. Manhattan's average rental price exceeded $5,000 for the first time ever in June - but that milestone didn't stop New Yorkers from signing leases, according to a new report.
