I remember a few years ago, there was a social media trend that from the first of November all the way up to Thanksgiving, people would post something that they were thankful for. Now I know that we are all thankful but after eighteen months of a pandemic, an election, and all the social upheaval that has been endured, this holiday season seems to be filled with grumbling and complaining. Perhaps I am just talking about myself and the way I have been feeling here recently. I think we need to take some time to remember how God is continuing to bless us in the midst of this "storm." I encourage you to take some time to reflect but since this is my article, I will share some things that I am thankful for! I am thankful for another year of ministry. It was and is so great to have adults and students back on campus again. We had a tremendous summer staff this year and they kept our staff laughing. I am thankful for God's security and provision. We have been able to spruce up and preserve our campus by making some much needed renovations over the past year. God continues to bless us with a great team who are each gifted differently but are joined by our collective passion for the Kingdom and camp ministry. Most importantly we are thankful for you, for your passion for the ministry, for supporting us with your encouraging words, your students, your energy, and your resources. We sure have plenty to be thankful for this year! Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Happy Thanksgiving! Tim St. Louis |

Our new Kubota L4760 tractor has been ordered. At this time, we do not have an arrival date. We are praying that we receive it before spring. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. |

Two New Camps This Summer! First Chance Camp & Activities Camp |
|
|
First Chance Camp is a two-night camp for 2nd-4th graders and a parent or guardian. Campers will experience all the fun of Rock Lake Christian Assembly with someone by their side to ease the transition to multi-night sessions. Perfect for the first-time camper! Activities Camp is a week-long camp for students in 8th-12th grades. Campers will select an activity track which is capped at fifteen students. They will train with their group and then come together with the other activity groups for worship and fellowship. Currently, we are offering running camp and dance camp. Stay tuned as we add other tracks! Contact the office at info@rlca.org or 989-268-5377 for more information. |

A significant project that we will be taking on soon is replacing the retaining wall behind Kimberling Hall (Hotel) and rebuilding the terraces between Bell Cottage and the Waterfront. We are looking at using a large 2’x4’ concrete blocks to help build this up, protect Kimberling Hall, support Rock Lake drive, give the area a refreshed look, and provide a more usable space. We are anticipating a total cost of at least $80,000 and have $36,000 raised so far. If God has blessed you with some extra resources as we near the end of the year, it would help us if you would consider a contribution towards the retaining wall and terraces. |
