Covid-19 Fatigue Is Setting In

With the Covid-19 pandemic still ongoing we want to remind you that we have strict protocols in place to help safeguard the athletes in our care and our staff. We understand that the many protocols we have in place can be onerous. Many of you are tired of the disruptions, but we must remain vigilant to ensure the safety of everyone and keep our business from having to close down again. Many parents are entering the facility to drop off and pick up their children. Please remember that only one parent/guardian of Tadpole and Pollywog children are permitted inside the facility. Anyone over the age of 13 must wear a mask inside.

All other parents please wait outside for drop off and pick up, do not enter the building even if you are late.

Children arriving late for class is especially disruptive right now. Employees are required to ensure screening measures at the door are followed. We are currently having parents entering the building and sending in unscreened children to classes late. Employees must then leave the class to ensure screening protocols are followed and sanitize the lobby area. This is unfair to the other children in the class that arrived on time who now have to wait. If you are going to be more than five minutes late please do not attend class.

With the case numbers rising during this second wave many of you have asked what will happen if we are required to close again.

In the event that LeapFrog Gymnastics is ordered closed again due to the pandemic, we will pause everyone's enrollment and credit your account for any classes missed in the current billing cycle. Adventure Days and Birthday Parties will receive credits for missed events.

If you are not familiar with the Covid-19 protacals in place please review them on our website.

Some Clothing Is Unsafe

As we head into colder weather we just want to remind you that what children wear to gymnastics can pose a safety risk. Long sleeves are not allowed as athletes can easily slip when performing skills on their hands. Please send children to gymnastics in t-shirts, tank tops, shorts, or stretchy pants/sweatpants.

Please no baggy or long sleeve shirts, and no jewelry. Safety is our number one priority. We do not want our students worried about their shirts going over their heads when they are in a handstand or upside down. We also do not want the children tripping over their pants if they are too long.Long hair should be pulled up and out of their faces. Children will be rolling, so make sure they do not have anything in their hair that might hurt their heads.

Helpful Tips

Help get your children prepared for class on the drive to the gym. Remind them about the expected behaviour during their class, how to treat their classmates and to listen and follow their coach throughout the class. If they are worried about something it's important to let their coach know so they can assist them to the fullest and help them through it.
