WHAT DOES CONDITIONAL APPROVAL MEAN? 

This means that the applying team has earned 'meets' or 'exceeds' standard on all metrics but additional documents or details are required for full approval.  In the case of PCM the requirements are minor; 1.) student transportation plan clarification and 2.) elaboration on leadership training and accountability during our planning year. While both of these aspects have been outlined in our full application we will provide additional details that were limited by application length requirements. These details will be presented for consideration in advance of the June 25th resolution meeting. The PCM founding team is highly optimistic that our efforts will earn us full approval on June 25th.  

1. Our student transportation plan will continue to become more detailed and will be finalized after we know our formal enrollment numbers (pending approval of course). We have planned flexibility in our proposed budget to pivot for specific students needs.
2. We have outlined a robust training, professional development, and accountability plan for all PCM staff and the board of trustees in our appication.  We will elaborate on this plan to ensure the planning year training and accountability is clearly delineated.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The application evaluation team will present their report to the Commissioners of the Washington State Charter School Commission at the June 25th resolution meeting. Commissioners will use this as a final opportunity to take public comment and ask applying teams questions before they officially vote to approve or deny the applicants charter school application. The recommendation report and capacity interview is a critical tool in their decision making process.
