We've been attending political events, asking candidates where they stand on climate change, fossil fuel campaign funding and the Granite Bridge Pipeline. Their answers may surprise you. Some are eager to answer, ready to act on climate, others dodge questions or  run away.

We continue to attend events and reach out to candidates who say they support climate action, asking for them to stop supporting fossil fuel expansion and transition to renewable energy instead.

Will you pledge to not take fossil fuel campaign funding?

Which candidates have pledged not to take fossil fuel funding? Who opposes the Granite Bridge Pipeline? View the candidates who have taken the pledge and their statements about pipelines and climate action.

Critical Need

Immediate donations needed

We need gas cards and donations now. We drive 2 hours each way, sometimes as many as 4 times in a week, to provide outreach, raise awareness and address the candidates who want to represent you. We're holding their feet to the flames on what the press and candidates won't.

As you know, we are an all-volunteer organization. We use your money carefully for signs, supplies and direct action events. There is limited time to raise awareness and stop the Granite Bridge Pipeline and massive LNG tank in Epping. We hate asking, but need your help now.

If this goes through, it's a huge gateway to the rest of the state. We're working hard every day to stop it. If you can make a donation today, it will help us to continue our outreach to communities and addressing our legislators and candidates for office directly! Need a physical address?

Thank you to all who have already generously donated. We appreciate your support! So many of you are our loyal friends who fought the NED pipeline with us. You know what it was like living in a pipeline-threatened town. For some, it would have been in your own back yard!

We want to stop Granite Bridge too, so we're appealing to our new friends as well. If you live along the pipeline route or in an abutting town, we need your support to get the correct information to you and your neighbors. For our health, safety, economy & future, we're ready to be #FossilFree603!

The Private Sector & Climate Change: Holding Corporations Accountable | The Sanders Institute

There are a number of actions that our country could be taking to reduce our carbon footprint and lessen the progress of climate change, however, there are significant barriers in place that hinder these efforts. Many of these barriers stem from corporate action.

Analysis | The Energy 202: A GOP congressman actually wants to tax carbon. But other Republicans said no.

To those waiting for Republicans to take any legislative step toward mitigating the effects of man-made climate change: There's good news and bad news. First, the good news: On Monday, a House Republican will finally put forward a piece of legislation designed to discourage the burning of fossil fuels.

What is the carbon bubble and what will happen if it bursts?

Investments amounting to trillions of dollars in fossil fuels - coal mines, oil wells, power stations, conventional vehicles - will lose their value when the world moves decisively to a low-carbon economy. Fossil fuel reserves and production facilities will become stranded assets, having absorbed capital but unable to be used to make a profit.

Climate change is turning the oceans to acid - and its making fish lose the ability to smell and find food
