Greetings Everyone! I could not have predicted that nearly thirty years to the date I would be retelling a story that profoundly changed my life. Looking back with a perspective of today is both daunting and enlightening. I am humbled and grateful to share this story in ways that give others hope, courage, inspiration and strength. Today more than ever, we seek answers to our tough questions. I realize that our journeys might look different but our lessons, our triumphs and our challenges look alike. Ultimately our bond with each other lies within our common lessons. Those we might know and those we have yet to discover. Below are a few snippets in the prologue. Release date and events begin next month and will be published on facebook and my website. Please subscribe below to avoid sending me to the dreaded junk mail depot. |

"Sweat was pouring down my face as the sun beat ......... My heart pounded against my chest .......There was a graceful rhythm ......with speed and agility across the terrain. My bare feet landed ......... hot sandy dirt ........ I felt alive and free ....... running across Africa. |

It seemed a lifetime of waiting for this day to come. Not because I thought about cycling around the world, but because I dreamed about adventure. I longed to escape, to be free............. .......And so almost thirty years later, as I relaunch my story about my bike ride around the world, I can look back and see the impact ..........The urge to travel was not about a destination but a hunger for learning and sharing. ..... |
|
....These encounters are glimpses into life beyond our own. As I re-tell my story................That life is about people and that our interactions with each other are at the core of all we are and all we can become. ........ That our connection to one another will continue to expand in ways that can only serve a greater good." |

Standing at the edge of the earth, at zero kilometer was eerie, exciting and thought provoking. Zero to me is a beginning, a new start, yet explorers looked at the edge as the end. Failing forward is about starting new, testing beliefs and assumptions and failing in order to find a purposed direction. A way to give back and serve. It's exciting and humbling to venture inward while exploring outward; new destinations, new circles of people and enlightening ways to make a difference. | | |
