Celebrating 1 Year!!

A look back on the past year of Newsletter Fridays!

Happy Friday Friends!!!

Happy Newsletter Friday and Happy 1 Year of the Newsletter! Welcome to those of you who are reading this for the first time and welcome back to those returning! Let's kick it off with the ever anticipated poll results!

THE POLL RESULTS:

People sure love their coffee and I am not one of those people. If you ask me there are only two correct ways to consume coffee. One is in the form of ice cream and the other is don't. But, that might just be me... who is to say? What did the people think though? Well, let's find out!

Disappointingly, ice cream or "I don't drink it" didn't win. That being said, we did have a tie! "What is the tie?" you ask. The tie is between Black Coffe (YUCK) and Iced Coffee. If I had to break this tie I would go with ICED COFFEE! So Iced Coffee is our winner!!

Are you tired of all the constant headlines popping up on your phones? Does the news sometimes ruin the day? Here is a place where you can find uplifting, fun, and good news from people in our own community. Keep looking to your own life headlines for a smile!

OTHER NEWS:

ONE YEAR OF THE NEWSLETTER! Holy moly! I can't believe this has been a constant in my life over this past year. It is sort of surreal that I have been doing this for that long now. I started this as another way to build community or just bring some fun to a Friday. The size of the community doesn't matter but what matters is that it is here and that it exists. Like anything, things grow and change, and I can't wait to see how this will continue to grow. I truly hope you all have been getting as much enjoyment out of this as I have.

One year ago things looked really different for me and frankly everyone. We were still in the thick of the pandemic, vaccines weren't out, and we still didn't know when we would be able to come out of our homes safely. We know that the pandemic won't suddenly be over but, it feels great to be where we are today. Last year we were still afraid of sitting on our friend's couch and this year we can. Those small things like a late movie night with a friend, a meal inside a restaurant, and going to see a show feels not so small. I am grateful for that today and grateful to be here doing what I get to do. Cheers to the now and to more moments together.

Thank you for reading this and if this brought a smile to your day, feel free to forward it on and spread the cheer! Don't forget the impact a little kindness can have. It can create lots of change!

'Til next time,

...alex is out
