June just got better 🌟
Endorphins, sunshine and happy days...it's finally here! Whoop, there is nothing like feeling the warmth of the summer on your skin, embracing the lighter and longer days.
Have you got your summer holiday booked? There's never been a better time to focus on your nutrition, your health and your fitness. You've got that incentive, so let's see if we can make a workout become your regular habit. In this month's newsletter we will chat about healthy foods, proteins, carbs and fats, including a healthy way to start your day pancake. Easy exercise wins and how to feel fabulous.

I'm heading back to school - always learning : Sport's Massage ❤️ Over the next 5 months, I will be adding to my knowledge base and learning a new skill. In June, I start a course in Sports Massage, watch this space, I may need some of you wonderful Hummingbirds to work on whilst I practice and learn.

What goes in affects more than you think.... Last month we talked about Cardio and Strength training, this month we chat about eating well and making sure we think about what we put into our bodies.
Balancing the Food Act: The Key to a Well-Rounded Diet It's so easy to get lost in the maze of dietary advice out there and with the hustle and bustle of daily life, maintaining a balanced diet can often be hard. Below, I'm going to try and break down all the information for you.
Proteins, Carbs, & Fats – these are the trio that fuel our body and mind.
How do we ensure we're getting the right balance? Here's a quick guide to nailing your daily diet:
1. Proteins Power: The Building Blocks Proteins are the architects of our body, responsible for building and repairing tissues. Opt for lean sources like chicken, fish, tofu, beans, and lentils. Remember, variety is key to ensure you're getting all the essential amino acids your body needs too.
2. Carb Conscious: Fuel your Journey Carbs are your body's preferred source of energy. But not all carbs are good. Choose carbs like whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and legumes over refined ones. They provide sustained energy and essential nutrients like fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
3. Fantastic Fats: The Good, the Bad, and the Necessary Fats often get a bad name, BUT they are crucial for brain function, hormone production, and nutrient absorption. Focus on healthy fats found in avocados, nuts, seeds, olive oil, and fatty fish like salmon. Limit saturated and trans fats found in fried foods and processed snacks. Finding the right balance of proteins, carbs, and fats isn't about restriction, it's more about nourishing your body with the nutrients it needs to thrive. Listen to your body's cues, eat mindfully, and remember, fuel your body effectively and support your overall health and well-being |
