THE NEWSLETTER!

Hello Friends!

Welcome Edition #2 of the ATJM newsletter.

(All Things Janelle Marie & Events By Janelle Marie)

Hope that life has been treating you well and you are excited for the summer! I'm particularly excited to be well into my "busy season" where events are in full bloom AND my clients are picking up speed as well. Which leads me into the above quote and the idea of giving ourselves the grace we deserve. This newsletter is over 2 weeks late, & I have a full list of items I need to tackle that support the growth and development of my own brand. It is in these times where I begin to feel defeated. How am I supposed to get where I need to be if I don't get these things done when I said I wanted them to be done? Am I being lazy, am I just not as good as other people who run their own businesses? Is entrepreneurship even for me???

I believe accountability falls in between the balance of discipline & God's grace.

In these times, I HAVE to remember to give myself grace. I have to review my own circumstances, be realistic about all that I have on my plate, and what I know I can reasonably accomplish. I am NOT Beyonce, I do not have her 24 hours. I have a chid I take to school every day, and pick up every evening. We have 2 T-Ball games each week. I am a full time entrepreneur providing support to 7 unique businesses in VA & DC. I am a wedding an event planner, with 2 events of my own the next 30 days and I participate in an internship with another wedding firm, adding 2 more events this upcoming month. I do A LOT, I accomplish A LOT, and I am extremely hard on myself. It's okay if everything does not get done exactly when I plan for it, but I know when I get to it, it will get done with care, with attention to detail, and with purpose. Giving myself the grace God allows grants me rest when I need it and provides space for increased creativity. Giving myself grace allows me to do the all the good work that I am doing, and will continue to be a pivotal part of my game plan as I grow. I encourage you all to look at your picture holistically, write out all of the things that you do/ have your hand in and consider that when you become hard on yourself for not getting something done. Is it REALLY a lack of discipline, or is it unreasonable expectations and a lack of grace?

My Ultimate Organizational Blueprint helps you decipher exactly that. This digital download is the outline of my onboarding process for executive assisting clients. It will help you get a birds eye view of all you have on your plate, and in the end gives you something tangible to refer which helps you to truly understand your capacity, and set realistic expectations of yourself.

I pray that you practice giving yourself grace when appropriate so that you can continue in God's power to do your good works!

I appreciate each of you who have tapped in with me and I hope to continue to bring you useful information that helps you either personally or professionally. :)
