Guns & Hoses / Pig Bowl & Safety Fair

SAL / YSU had a great time assisting with the 49th Annual Pig Bowl / Guns & Hoses football game including a Kids Safety Fair.

Since 1974 the Greater Sacramento Area Firefighters and Law Enforcement Officers have kept the Sacramento tradition of Pig Bowl alive in hopes of making a difference in the community. From helping local charities, schools, and non-profit organizations to uniting first responders to come together for the greater good of Sacramento, this is more than just a football game.

The volunteers put in months of planning and coordinating to makes this event happen in addition to protecting our neighborhoods. We are all very lucky to have so many fire personnel and law enforcement employees that dedicate their time to help many local charities and schools.

Since there were so many great pictures, too many to include in the monthly newsletter, we created a separate newsletter. Hang on to your seats, there are a lot to see! The first section shows some tailgating, onto the safety fair, singing of the national anthem, the coin toss, a helicopter flyover / BALL DROP VIDEO from a helicopter, then onto some excellent photos from the game. Enjoy!

Credit Ralph Thompson for some of the amazing photos.
